If you are new to watercolor and have a bit of knowledge to how things work – this is the course for you.   In it we learn the basics of glazing, working with ink, and watercolor.  There are three bunnies – Frank the bunny, Sunny the bunny, and Fifi the bunny.

Description

In this complete course, you will learn the basics of glazing, working with ink, and watercolor.  There are three bunnies – Frank the bunny, Sunny the bunny, and Fifi the bunny. You will get all three templates included – plus step by step instructional videos to paint each one.

:Supplies:

Watercolor paper

  • I used Paul Ruben’s watercolor hot press journal from amazon

Black ink

  • I used ph martin’s black matte ink – but Higgins ink is a nice cheap alternative

White ink or white paint

  • I used copic white ink – but ph martin’s bleed proof white ink works well too. You can also use white paint (acrylic, watercolor, or gouache)

Pencils

  • (any kind you have on hand)

Brushes

  • (I used the silver brush slm – basic susan louise moyer basic silk painting watercolor set, 3 per pack from amazon plus a cheap winsor cotman series for detail work here and there)

:Paint colors:

Core colors – these colors can be used to mix your secondary colors

  • winsor blue (green shade)

  • cadmium lemon yellow (schmincke)

  • winsor yellow ochre

  • winsor burnt umber

  • holbein shell pink

  • winsor permanent rose

Secondary colors – if you don’t have these or can’t purchase them use the core colors above to mix 

  • winsor violet – mixture ( winsor blue + permanent rose)

  • cadmium orange light – mixture ( cadmium lemon yellow + scarlet lake )

  • may green – mixture ( cadmium lemon yellow + winsor blue (small amount)

  • jaune br. No. 2 – mixture ( cadmium lemon yellow + shell pink)

Watercolor concentrates – I used these colors to pop up my watercolor – but they are not necessary for this course. 

  • ph martin’s radiant – ultra blue

  • ph martin’s radiant – persimmon

  • ph martin’s radiant – lemon yellow
